Ebony M. Poe LCSW, MSW
Ebony is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 25 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families. She holds both her undergraduate and master’s degrees in social work from Rutgers University and has spent her career helping individuals navigate emotional challenges with honesty, clarity, and compassion.
Ebony’s work is grounded in her belief that self awareness and emotional truth are essential ingredients for change. She founded IntraBloom to create a therapeutic environment where clients can explore their inner world openly, feeling comfort and safety within themselves.
Her therapeutic style is warm, authentic, and naturally non-judgmental. Ebony integrates mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, and interpersonal psychotherapy to support each client’s unique journey. She specializes in anxiety, trauma, depression, ADHD, family dynamics, and emotional wellness. Her approach is intentionally framed to offer thoughtful, individualized care that is tailored to each person’s goals.
As woman and minority, Ebony brings lived experience, cultural understanding, and humility to her work. She recognizes the influence of identity, environment, and social context on mental health. Aiming to approach each client with respect for their story and their capacity for growth is fundamental in Ebony’s philosophy of intervention and service.
Outside of mentoring, research and clinical work, Ebony finds balance through family, music, travel, and rock collecting. She can disorganize a line dance on cue, and is known to chase the waves of an ocean at every opportunity. These are just some of the practices that keep Ebony connected to her own growth, balance, and self-awareness. She allows both professional and personal diversions to mimic the same principles she encourages in clients: reflection, steadiness, and intentional care of the whole self.
